In today’s world, many people do not believe in climate change (global warming) for many different reasons. Some of these reasons can be personal or based on a politician / government official opinion. Throughout the country and the world, debates are happening right now about if fossil fuels are important for the economy or should we switch to renewable energy to better protect the environment. Recently there has been a decrease in the amount that people have been talking about Climate Change.

Suppression of Climate Change

In 2025, there has been a major increase in the amount of suppression happening in the scientific world. A lot of different politicians and government officials have been promoting the idea that climate change is not real. The oil companies have been backing the government as well where there has been evidence shown that Exxon has a history of attacking scientists

According to the Center of Biological Diveristy, “fossil-fuel industries insist — despite all the evidence to the contrary — that current climate change hasn’t been “proven” to be mainly caused by humans.”

This is happening because all of the higher ups in our economy are caring more about their immediate economic interests instead of our own environment. We are seeing a decrease in the amount of education that children are getting about climate change while they are trying to delete this idea from social media.

Fossil Fuels vs Renewable Energy

There has started to be a switch in the country for renewable energy to replace the fossil fuel industry. Renewable energy is a cleaner energy source that can come from

  • Solar Energy
  • Wind Power
  • Hydroelectricity
  • Biomass energy

These energy sources are able to provide the same amount of energy as fossil fuels without adding more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. It has also been found that in the next 200 years, fossil fuels will cease to exist while renewable will be around forever!

How to Help

Climate change is a very big issue in today’s world that is starting to be overlooked and forgotten. This can have devastating effects on the world and the people living in it especially if we dont keep researching and talking about it. One way to help is to help educate people on how climate change is affecting our world. Hopefully this will lead to many different people understanding why its important and why we should be caring.
